ABOUT US

Who We Are

OUR HISTORY

The Founder of Beacon of Hope worked in various human services and mental health settings for seven years prior to the ownership of our organization in 2012. In 2015, we opened our first office location, in which clients were offered both office and in-home psychotherapy services. Within the same year, the organization transitioned from a solo-practice to a group practice. In 2017, the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene licensed our organization as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program for children, adolescents, and adults; licensed as an Outpatient Mental Health Center for children, adolescents, and adults in 2018; licensed as a Substance Use Disorders, DUI Education, and Integrated Behavioral Health provider for children, adolescents, and adults in 2020. Since 2018, CARF® has accredited our mental and behavioral health, alcohol and other drugs, integrated behavioral health, and community integration programs. In 2019, we started our housing program, which we offer affordable housing for individuals and families. Furthermore, in 2018, we registered our first international business in Monrovia, Liberia, which we will offer a boarding school for children and adolescents, and vocational and mental health services for children, adolescents, and adults.

Beacon of Hope will continue with our commitment to excellence by providing comprehensive, personalized, and quality services for our clients; retaining exemplary professionals who are dedicated to serving people while being happy and satisfied by the support and generous package we offer; building authentic partnerships with other organizations, providers, and leaders and citizens of our local community, and thriving by expanding and maintaining our growth.
